Inspiron 6000

I have an Inspirion 6000 that I am trying to load Windows 7 on.  I get to "windows Boot Manager" and it gives me an Info: Attempting to load a 62 bit application , however this CPU is not compatible with 64 bit mode.

Is there a way to load this CD?

TIA,

John

Hi John,

This system with Intel Pentium M Processor is not designed for a 62 bit Operating system, hence I recommend please do not install

For more information kindly refer the below given link:

http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/products/system-requirements

Also download the below mentioned application and scan the computer, this would show if the computer is compatible with windows 7:

Please revert for clarification.

You do indeed need a 32-bit version of Windows 7 -- the 6000 won't run the 64-bit version.
