Inspiron 600m Battery Error light flashing...
For a few extra details, I have two batteries, one is a Sony LiP and located in the D drive, the second is a Sanyo LION battery which was the default battery. OS is Windows XP.
Starting yesterday, the battery indicator light (the light that turns green when the battery is charging, red when battery's low, etc.), has begun to flash red about 5 times in succession and then turn green for a second. I have seen this indicator before and associated it with a dead battery. Accordingly, I checked both batteries. The Sanyo battery lights up in an odd pattern when the test button is pressed, the First, Third, and Fifth lights all turn green and flash. I am not sure what this indicates, as both batteries are charging and discharging as normal. There are no problems with my Sony battery. Does anybody know what, if anything, is wrong?
