Inspiron 6400 Wireless Driver
Hi: I bought a refurbished Inspiron 6400 and installed XP Professional on it. I installed all of the drivers in the proper order and cannot get the network controller driver to install. Because of this, I have no wireless. I used my service tag to get the right drivers from Dell. Can anyone be of help?

Hi John:
Yes, I sure did install the drivers in that order. I had read how important it was and followed directions. Believe me, I've been working on this for awhile. Thanks for replying so quickly.

1. What do you see in Device Manager > Network Adapters?
2. What messages do you get when you go through the installation procedure for the Broadcom 440 controller?

If you are sure you have a Dell wireless card then try this driver here.
