Inspiron 8500 color problems

Hello
 
My Inspiron 8500, actually my wife's, suddenly started having a blue-green tint to the display. There is also some mottling apparent on the display. The video is ATI 9000....checked drivers on Dell website but have the latest already. I haven't been in this particular forum for some time; is this a known issue? Any help appreciated.

Attach an external monitor. Is the display OK?

Attached an external monitor and the display is OK. Thanks for your response. So, the LCD on the lappy is a goner then? She has 74 days left under warranty. Thank You.

Call Dell and have the panel replaced. And if you plan to keep the system a while, call and buy an extension of the warranty.

Called and set up a replacement without too much hassle. I was thinking along the same lines as far as a warranty extension. Thanks again.
