Inspiron 9300 Bluetooth help please
I bought the inspiron 9300 last june and (love it btw). i never really used bluetooth much on it till just recently. i bought a palm treo 650. i want to use the bluetooth now lots because i have shifted my life towards a smartphone for my daily needs. How ever the problem i am having is that the Bluetooth information exchanger is highly unstable. everytime i try to wireless file transfer i get error sayin program needs to close. and half of the time bluetooth doesnt see my palm. Also tryin to do a wireless hotsync doesnt work cause i cant seem to get the open com port to work.
I am using Toshiba Bluetooth Stack v1.03, and i went to toshiba site and tried to upgrade bluetooth but it tells me windows can read the files or something like that. Is this bluetooth version to old? or is the Toshiba one no good? is there some update or driver i am missin for this?
I am really gettin frustrated at this and maybe someone out there has run into this problem before or has some obvious answer i am missin.
Any help would be great, Thanks in advance

ya i tried that driver and installed it and it is the same v1.3 as i had before. perhaps i am missing something here, but i did try it 3 times and still same result. and it does install fine. so what do i do now.? can you run any bluetooth stack on a dell or does it have to be this one?
and 1 more question, what is with the message i get when i try to hot sync saying com port is deing used by another application? I aint usin it so who/what is?
thx again

Sorry, Gary, but now I'm out of my depth. Perhaps someone else has a suggestion.

ok upon speaking with some pc guys they have advised me that if i cannot get this driver to work i will have to change out my bluetooth module to an aftermarket one. otherwise Dell proprietary (sp?) would let it work if i were to try a 3pt blue stack. that is the last thing i wanna do but i am all out of idea's. I must have this workin cause like I said before i am all setup in my life to run like this.
So last ditch effort if anyone has an idea or something.
