Inspiron BIOS update

Question

My Inspiron is running on BIOS version A06. The latest BIOS update is A11. Should I do a gradual update or just jump to the latest update, which is A11?

You could just update direct to BIOS version A11. BTW, what type of model of inspiron you are using?

With the 8200 you just need to flash once using the latest BIOS.

Can I please urge you that if you intend to update do not use the hard drive method but do it in pure DOS by using a floppy or from a CDR.

In the past this forum used to be littered with postings from users who had used the hard drive method for updating and ended up with a doorstop as there was a problem flashing the BIOS.
