Inspiron E1405 hard drive upgrade issue

Hey, folks. Thanks in advance for taking the time to check out my little problem, I definitely appreciate it.

So, I decided it'd be time to upgrade the existing hard drive on my Inspiron E1405 to a new, bigger one. The upgrade:

Fujitsu 80 GB (SATA) > Seagate 500 GB (SATA)

I started the process by purchasing both the hard drive and an enclosure for it. I ran Acronis' True Image Home 2009 to clone the original hard drive's contents onto the new one (via the USB enclosure).

Once everything was transferred (the transfer took some time, and afterwards, the amount of data on the new hard drive was identical to the former), I removed the old drive and inserted the new one. When I started the computer, everything was fine until the Windows XP splash screen (http://www.simplyguides.net/images/guides/convert_fs_ntfs/6.jpg) with the progress meter appears. It slowly fades in, and as the progress meter hits the center, the Blue Screen of Death flashes for an instant, and the computer restarts. This occurs indefinitely.

I'm able to go into the BIOS and Setup, but neither has really done the trick for me. The BIOS offers me no option to modify anything meaningful regarding the hard drive, and in the setup, I ran the diagnostic tool, with all the tests on the hard drive passing just fine.

I'm guessing that if anything, it's not a hard drive issue, but rather some far back end thing with Windows on the new hard drive? Perhaps some important Windows files didn't get copied over? Maybe I'll probably need to run a Windows boot CD?
