Inspiron E1505 Overheating
So, I have a 3 year old Inspiron E1505 which is still in very solid condtion. It ran fine for all three years up until recently. My hardrive crashed and I was given a replacement because it was still under warrenty. After reinstalling windows and such the computer overheats extremely easily. By overheat I mean it reaches some set alarm temperature and redcues cpu processing power to help cool it down. This slows the computer tremendously and its quite annoying when watching a movie will overheat the computer. Is there some driver that I have not reinstalled that teaches the computer how to keep its cool? If there is not something I forgot to install then is there some other way to help cool the computer down?
The computer sits on a wood desk and has clear openings for all vents around the computer.

And what if I did install those both? I will try reinstalling both right now too but I am nearly certain they were already installed.
I do have a question though for the chipset drivers. My service tag gives me two options to install for the chipset. Intel - Driver Mobile Chipset and Ricoh - Driver R5C832. Do I have both installed or just one and if just one which one?

If you didn't install the Dell notebook system software and chipset driver, the power management won't function properly.

You need the Ricoh driver to use the SD card reader - the Intel for power support.
If you have installed these, check for dust accumulation, that the fan works (F12 to get to the diagnostics to test it) and if those are OK, then check the thermal pad between the heatsink and the CPU to make sure it's doing its job.

Yeah diagnostics come back fine and dust accumulation on all the vents is cleared. Whats the best way to access the CPU on the computer. Through the bottom or taking off the keyboard and do I need any special tools to get to it?

Look in the service manual here
on removing the heatsink.
