Inspiron E1505 System Modular Bay
When I boot up my Inspiron E1505 laptop, I get the following error message:
The device in the System Modular Bay cannot be identified. It may not be completely inserted or may have some other problem. Please read and complete th following steps in order:
1) Press the device completely and firmly into the bay.
2) Power off the system.
3) Press the power button to retry detecting the device.
Press ESC to ignore error and continue.
What device is plugged into the System Modular Bay? When I press ESC the laptop boots up and runs without any problems.

I don't know what to do but it keeps telling me the same thing and i cant boot up my laptop.

It typically is the CD/DVD drive. You do not mention which notebook you have so it's hard to be more specific.

This error is more commonly associated with a hard drive that has failed.

Good morning my Good people how can stop this massage from my Laptop Dell Latitude D530
The massage goes like this The device in the system Modular Bay cannot be identified. it may not be completely inserted or may have some other problem.

Press F12 at powerup. Boot to an run an extended Dell diagnostics.
