Inspiron N5010 Sata Disk Failure..Help?
Hello,
My laptop's died...won't boot and says "PXE-E61 Media Test Failure...PXE-MOF: Exiting PXE ROM.....Reboot and select properboot device."
Has my Hard Disk died?
I ran diagnostics and got "Sata Disk S/N Confidence test Fail...Device Quick Check Fail...Read Test Fail...Seek Test Faland Verify Test Fail"
I also got Block read errors 0F00: 131B Msg Disk Blocks 279 and 589 read errors.
Any advice please?

If the system is under warranty, report the error to Dell. If it's not, you'll need a new, 2.5" 9.5 mm or slimmer, SATA notebook drive. Yes, your drive is history.

Many thanx for your prompt reply! Am in Saudi Arabia but not in the city where I bought the laptop. There is no online Tech Support here and Customer Service generally is so bad I have no faith in travelling and returning my machine to the store.
Is a new installation difficult if I buy the HD myself?
Will I also need to buy Windows as it came installed?
Cheers
