Install Kensington Bluetooth Micro Adapter
I did not realise my Inspiron 1012 came without Bluetooth. I therefore ordered a Kensington Bluetooth Micro Adapter which a Dell Sale Advisor assured me would work with my laptop but it arrived with a CD for which the 1012 has no slot. What do I do now?

Try installing it without the cd and see how Windows 7 handles it. It should go online and get drivers and software. If not, you should be able to get the software from the Kensington site or ask their support team. Many hardware installations do not need disks when installing on Windows 7. Almost all manufacturers have what you need on their web sites.
