INSTALLED NEW MEMORY NOT RECOGINIZED
I installed a 1 GB memory update (purchased form Dell) in my Inspiron 9300. THe computer does not seem to recoginize the additional memory. Does anyone know of a fix???

what OS? 32 or 64 bit? have you tried resetting the memory?

What memory did you order (part number, exact specs)? Does it see the memory in BIOS (F2)? Try the memory module Dell sent you in the first memory slot.
