Did you recently flash your BIOS? If so it would have changed the Splash screen (the screen that shows at boot, where you can choose to enter BIOS). Have a look at this page on Bay Wolf's site, follow the links and you can get the utility from Dell and change your splash screen. Cheers,

Not sure if you can, is it during the BIOS? If so, it might be part of a recent update.

Anyways, why do you want to remove it?

i'm afraid a hacker might have gotten into my system.

has anybody else had this problem, and how can i remove it/restore the normal bios screen?

Did you not read my post? The one right above yours I point out the splash screen utility. The screen was likey changed because of a BIOS update, the slash screen is reset. You are being paranoid if you think hackers are doing that

My i8500 did that when I upgraded my BIOS.  It was a bit of a surprise, but they gotta advertise everywhere, I guess!
