Intel® Media Accelerator 900 Graphics. How is it?
Has anyone heard anything about the performance of this video card?
It's the only choice for the new Inspiron 6000. It seems like a pretty good laptop with low prices but as I said, the only choice for video card is Intel Media Accelerator 900 Graphics. I want to know how good it is compared to ATI or Nvidia cards... Thx for the help

DX9.0
4 Pixel Pipelines
2 Vertex Engines
Upto 16 Textures Per Pixel
Smoothvision 2.1
SmartShader 2.0
337MHz Core Clock - 1348Mpixels/s
486MHz Memory Clock (128bit) - 7.8GB/s
The specs of the Mobility X300:
DX9.0
4 Pixel Pipelines
2 Vertex Engines
Upto 16 Textures per Pixel
Smoothvision 2.1
SmartShader 2.0
350MHz Core Clock - 1400Mpixels/s
300MHz Memory Clock (Assuming 64bit) - 2.4GB/s
If the X300 has a 64bit memory bus i retract my previous statement because in that case the R9600 will be better by a noticable margin. I had read in some basic overviews that the X300 is based on the R9600 core and assumed similar performance. The actual 3D core of the X300 will be better than the R9600 but due to slow memory performance (and a possible limit of 64MB) the X300 isnt as good as the R9600. However that X300 card should outpace the GMA900 by a lot.

Yeah I just read it...LOL
Just like I said before alot. Intergraded graphics are not good. :smileywink:
