Intel Rapid Storage on L502x
Hi,
I've recently got an extra sandisk 16gb msata ssd, and it seems the L502x does support intel rapid storage technology. Is it possible to install the msata ssd as cache for Intel RST, and what are the drivers I need for that?
Thanks

This model doesn't have an mSATA port, so you can't install an mSATA drive.

Hi Shlhu,
In XPS L502X, “Intel Rapid Storage Technology” is the feature of the “Mobile Intel HM67 Express Chipset”. This is not designed to work with multiple hard drives in this machine. In this machine “Intel Rapid Storage Technology” is to aid the following:
1. Through AHCI, storage performance is improved with Native Command Queuing (NCQ).
2. Also, AHCI delivers longer battery life with Link Power Management (LPM) reducing the power consumption of the chipset and Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive.
Please revert for clarification.
