Internal microphone.

Question

Hi, I just received my new laptop inspiron 6400. I was wondering if the laptop comes with an internal microphone. I can see the input microphone jack, but I was hopping that there is also one under the box. Thanks, David

David, I'm dissapointed similar to you. I would not have bought the Inspiron 6400 if I'd realised that. Why would Dell not put an integrated microphone in all notebooks? How much extra could it cost - $10?? Now we have to lug around an external microphone. So much for easily using Skype... Ian

I agree with you. I had an Inspiron before this one and it cames with an internal microphone. I didn’t expect that they would remove this piece on new Inspiron. I doubt it cost more than $5 at the time of fabrication to install it. I will be more careful on my next laptop.
