Hi J320,

Please check if the same issue exhibits in safe mode. You can follow steps below to boot system in safe mode:

  • Restart the computer.
  • Tap the F8 key on the keyboard during the boot process until you see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen.
  • Select “Safe Mode with Networking” from the menu using the arrow keys on the keyboard and then press the key.
  • Select the user account at the log in screen.
  • Check if the issue persists.

You may perform a clean boot and check the start up programs and services. For more information on this, you can refer to link: http://bit.ly/Vi0QXe

You may also run a Microsoft Fix it from link: http://bit.ly/YxYksW

If the issue persists, you may reset the Internet explorer settings and then try using the computer and see if it works.

Note: Resetting Internet Explorer is not reversible. After a reset, all previous customized settings (homepage, privacy and security, tool bars and add ons) are lost and can't be recovered.

To reset Internet explorer, you can follow the steps below:
  • Close all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.
  • Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button . In the search box, type Internet Explorer, and then, in the list of results, click Internet Explorer.
  • Click the Tools button , and then click Internet options.
  • Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
  • Select the Delete personal settings check box if you would also like to remove browsing history, search providers, Accelerators, home pages, Tracking Protection, and ActiveX Filtering data.
  • In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
  • When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, click Close, and then click OK.
  • Close Internet Explorer.
  • Your changes will take effect the next time you open Internet Explorer.
