keyboard typing slow laptop

I have a basic Vostro 1000 very similiar to a Insprion 1500.  Keyboard slowed way down, would not keep up with typing on sceen.  Scanned it for malware, defrag, uninstalled keyboard driver, NON of this helped.

Found a forum on tomshardware, couple other people having same problem.  Solution, take out laptop battery and restart computer without battery installed, yes you have to have the AC adapter plugged in.  Totally solved the problem, unbelievable that the battery could have this type of adverse impact but it does....

Please pass this info to everyone, very easy fix and very difficult to figure out a fix.
