Latitude C600 boot problem
I have a Latitude C600 with Bios Version A23. Whenever I turn on the power, the HDD powers on for about 2 seconds (I can hear it), then it tells me that there is no primary HDD and to use either F1 or F2 to boot. I have some very important information on this laptop and would just like to get it working to pull the information. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes it boots and sometimes it doesn't. Makes me wonder if the board is cracked at the HDD connectors.MichaelBPM

Thank you, will try that.- Have you checked the bios too se if it already detected,if no it's probably the hdd and if you do get a known good hdd to test and the hdd manages to detect in BIOS it is only the hard disk issue and if it is still intermittent it is definitely the mainboard issue.
