Latitude C640 Boot Error

During POST i revieve the following error on my Latitude C640

Memory write/read failure at 140009C0, read EF00AF00 expecting EF00EF00

Decreasing available memory

Ok thank for the post but what is your question???? Do you have some bad memory?? More then likely.

Or possibly a Bad RAM slot. Try One chip in both slots and then the other in both slots. The C640 is one of Dell's older best, but no model is immune from this problem. I have a C800 board at present with that problem.
