Latitude CPt C .. video display issues

Greetings,
 
My Latitude displays the desktop at about a 30% offset, the screen is displayed in the top 70% and is complete in terms of being able to access all of the desktop, just in a smaller area.
 
The lower 30% of the screen is displayed as the top of the same desktop that's displayed in the top portion (E.G. "my computer" etc)
 
When plugged into an external monitor the screen is fine, displayed as normal .. this is just in the LCD
 
Is the LCD hosed or is this a setting/driver/whatever kind of configuration issue?

Hi,

It is most likely the LCD, but keep in mind that there is extra circuitry on the video card to run it. ( compared to the VGA output )

Sorry I can't help you with that but I have the same model Latitude CPt C and I'm trying to reinstall it from scratch because it has gotten too slow and full of spyware. Do you happen to have the original reinstall CD? I have tried to get it from Dell but has been quite difficult
