LATITUDE D410 FAILED WINDOWS XP SETUP

I have Latitude D410 which drives me crazy by telling me that "SETUP COULD NOT ABLE TO FORMAT THE PARTITION, SEEMS  HDD IS DEMAGED OR DOES NOT SWITCHED ON. AND TELLING ABOUT SCSI TERMINATION " you know what am sick and tired for this message, i puted the new HDD still prompts that i put also new motherboard but still pops. Please help me to tackle this problem
