Latitude D620 Battery problem, I really need help

Question

I have a problem with my laptop. It seems that when I connect the power adapter it looks like it's working fine but it does not charge the battery. I checked the BIOS and there it says that the battery is charging but the battery meter remains the same. I tried updating the BIOS but it didn't work either. Thanks in advance.

Contact Dell for a warranty replacement of the battery.

If a new battery doesn't work, but the AC adapter otherwise powers the system, the mainboard is faulty - Dell will replace the board under warranty. The D620 is new enough that it should be under warranty.

ejn63, thank you very much. Seriously I got kinda confused how could that have happened and what the problem is. I'll make sure that I send the mainboard to Dell since it's still under warranty, but I'm still going to check the forums about which part exactly causes this problem since I'm kinda curious :D. Thanks again.
