Latitude E5400 graphics driver won't install
I'm trying to instal the following driver: «Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver, Windows 7* 64, Windows Vista* 64 (exe)» on a LATITUDE E5400 win7-64b, but it says the system doesn't meet the minimum requirements.
Am I installing the wrong driver ?

Hi PauloF91,
Yes, you will be able to expand to an external monitor screen. But to install the graphic card driver on your system you need to use 32-bit version.

Hi PauloF91,
Welcome to Dell Community.
The package provides the Intel GMA HD Graphics 4500/4500M Driver and is supported on the Latitude models that are running the following Windows Operating System: Windows 7 (32-bit).
The Latitude E5400 doesn't fully support x64 based Operating system. Try installing win7 x86 (its the 32bit). It should fix the problem.
Operating Systems
•MS Windows 7 32-bit
•MS Windows Vista 32-bit
Please use this link to installed Intel driver on the system. http://dell.to/1j1Jup7
Let me know if you need more help and we'll be happy to help.

Ok, so everything will be okay and run smoothly with the 32b version?
Thanks for the answer.

Just another quick question I need to be answered. With the OS I have right now (64b version), I can't expand my desktop to an external monitor.
Do you think it'll solve the problem changing PC Image to a 32b version (since I'll be able to install graphics driver) ?

The second part I already knew. This is a company laptop, I must make this right, at first try :)
Thanks for the quick feedback.

My main question here is: if I install the 32-bit version and then the graphics drivers, I'll then be able to expand to an external monitor screen.
You're saying the 32-bit version won't solve it?

Hi PauloF91,
Unfortunately this will not help you to resolve the problem. The Operating System you have right now is 64-bit version, however the Dell support provides drivers only for 32-bit version. We hope your query was answered. If you have any further queries please feel free to reach out to us.
