Latitude E5430 disk drive question

Ok, I feel like a
complete idiot for asking this, but here it goes.

I bought a refurbished
Latitude E5430. One of the pluses for me was that it came with a CDROM drive,
but I cant figure out how to open it. Yeah, I know, hear me out. There is no
button on the side of the drive to open it, no pin hole, slider, anything, its
just completely blank. The area is shaped like its a CD drive door but there
are no markings on it saying anything about the drive, nor are there any
buttons. That lead me to believe it doesnt actually have a CD drive, maybe its
just a place holder and this specific computer doesnt have one? (but did they
even make this version of laptop without one?) This would be a big disappointment
and I would have to send it back if so.

Trying to investigate,
I checked the My Computer folder and there is no disk drive listed, only the C
drive. BUT, in the disk drivers area, and, according to the program I
downloaded from the dell site to scan my computer, I do have one - Liteonit
LCT128M3S. So whats going on, do I have a disk drive? If so why isnt there any
way to open it. The computer even came with a CD for the reinstallation of
windows and I did want to do a factor reset, which I cant even do if I am
mysteriously lacking a CD drive. So whats going on? Any ideas?
