Latitude E6400 lights on lid
My Latitude E6400 has an indicator panel on the outside of the lid that shows power and battery. I never see these lit up when the laptop is turned on or in standby, whether the lid is open or closed. Are they supposed to light up?

Yes. I think they are the status lights. You might want it repair ASAP.

Yeah on my E6500 its the power light and the charging light, the power light is on all the time on steady blue, throbbing blue when on standby, and the charge light is steady blue when charging, blinking orange when battery is low, steady orange when critically low, flashing blue when almost fully charged.

Bravo to Dell for making this information almost IMPOSSIBLE to find! I have not found an explanation of the function of these indicators anywhere on Dell's support site.
