Question

Hi, I can't change nothing in BIOS on my brand new Dell E6430 Laptop. The Setup is protected by Administrative password. Can you help me with unlock? Best Regards Maciek

Going forward, this can no longer be done through the Forum. You must call in to Dell Technical Support for your country. They will verify all of your data as the owner of the laptop, put you on hold, and then contact an L2 technician to get the password reset.

Who set the administrator password?  It would not be on the system if you received it brand-new from Dell.

I don't know. I bought this laptop a week ago from ebay. Brand new in the box.

If the seller can't provide the password, return the system for a refund.  For that matter, in order to have warranty coverage, the seller needs to transfer the system into your name -- if they can't or won't, get a refund.

Only Dell support can - and you must call.  Have verification of ownership of the system ready and if the system is out of warranty, a credit card (the call isn't free once the warranty has expired).
