Latitude E7470 RAM Upgrade
Hello,
I want to upgrade my E7470's RAM from 1x8GB to 2x8GB. On the Dell website another slot for 130€ is recommended, but I was wondering if I could use another memory module with the same DDR-speed (2133MHz) of the same type (SODIMM DDR4) along with the default RAM. For example, the Kingston ValueRAM KVR21S15D8/8 is much cheaper. Or the Crucial CT8G4SFD8213.
Best regards,
Nino

ninodh,
I hope you didn't buy that expensive memory. I have the same laptop, and the same 8 gb of factory memory. I got an 8 gb stick of basic Kingston memory and it's been fine. I did the upgrade when I got this as my new work laptop, maybe six months ago.

Hello, I've found somewhere the same RAM module as in my laptop for about 75€. This was an acceptable price for a new manufactured version of the exact same RAM so I am happy with it :) Thanks for responding
