I have a new E4300 with IDT sound card. The laptop has internal digital microphone and external jack (mic and headphones). When connecting external microphone IDT monitoring software correctly switches devices from internal digital microphone to jack (and back when disconnected), but external microphone is not working at all.

I tried different microphones, all hardware setiings (selection of IDT device for recording), upgrade of Audio drivers (5.10.0.6159 - 23/02/2009), BIOS (A07), all to no avail.

Any similar experiences or useful suggestions?
