LINKSYS ADSL Gateway network connection problems ?
When trying to connect my Laptop/Docking Station to my LINKSYS ADSL gateway, the network icon show "network cable unplugged" even when it is plugged in. The network lights on the docking station show steady green and amber.
The docking station works ok on the work network and I have tried all the ports on the ASDL gateway, which are all functioning=2E I have swapped the network cable with one that works from my home desktop pc to the ASDL router and still no joy=2E I have reinstalled the netwark adapter drivers and the system says that it is functioning correctly.

is the linksys a router or a asdl modem w/ gateway?
do you have its latest firmware?
your network connection (on the laptop) setup for dhcp?
