Loading PBR 2.......done

Dell Inspiron 6000

My situation: the old drive is filling up so I am upgrading to a Seagate Momentus 7200.1 100GB drive. The original drive has the diag part (FAT), the OS part (NTFS) and the image part (FAT32)...I have successfully ghosted the drive to the new drive and confimed that the partitions exist and the data is there. I used the UBCD (BartPE).

Now when I try to boot to the new drive I get "Loading PBR 2.......done" and it hangs. I put back in the original drive...it boots right up. How has anything changed (other than the size)? Would it be better to do a sector clone copy instead?

Thanks

You cannot do a complete clone on your drive because of the MediaDirect partition.

For details, see
