loud beep upon wireless connection

I just received my new Inspiron 9400/E1705 and hate little sounds. I notive a loud "beep" every time I startup my computer and get a wireless connection. How can I turn this beep off?

Thanks.

you'll probably have to navigate to sounds in control panel>sounds and audio properties

Me thinks I figured it out. I had Dell/Intel managing my wireless connection and I think Dell/Intel uses the very annoying loud beep to signal a connection or lack thereof.  I switched to Windows managing the connection and it all quiet on the Swiss front.

All it uses is youre "default sound" just go into youre sounds and for "default sound"
choose no sound! it uses the same as youre volume---etc.

besides, the Intel proset is better then the windows wireless! it has a new update at dell, so be sure to update! have a good day!

Thanks, I will go and change it to no sound so I can use Intel to manage the wireless connection.  Can you let me know why it's better than Windows?

go to control panel---->sounds and audio---->sounds---->default beep now for the sounds choose none! as for intel being better, is simply that its made for youre wireless! and has better options for tweaking it. just seems alot better to me!
opinions will vary! have a good day!

Thanks again but my default sound was to "none" and I still get the very loud beep when Intel connects to the Internet. I looked at the Intel wireless connection advanced settings but did not find a sound off option there. I must be missing something.
