M1530 and Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse reconnect issues

I set up the mouse (Microsoft Bluetooth 5000) fine, the M1530 (a week old, so I'd think I have the latest drivers) works perfectly and the mouse is working great.  If I turn off the mouse and turn it back on it may take forever to reconnect, and then it may disconnect randomly.  Behaves much differently than if I pair it again and use it for a while.  Anyone with any hints into making this better?

*Edit*  I also found that when I close the lid, the mouse disconnects, doesn't reconnect and my trackpad is locked (because I lock my trackpad when another mouse is being used)...I thought I'd be able to turn off and on my bluetooth mouse just like I can headsets on my phone and whatnot...

Any reason this laptop can't handle this?  Anyone else go through this problem?

I have-had the same problems as you do. I can't confirm that if I close the lid then it doesn't reconnect.

Things I did are I don't turn off the mouse(no need really since it turns off itself after a while) and in a situation where it can't connect I turn off the bluetooth device and activate it again.

The only problem I have now is that it randomly stops responding(once a day,week...) for a second or so and then we it works again.

*Have you found any software for this mouse? because microsoft mouse does not include this one. It's like micro does not support it.

Honestly I just gave up and returned it to Best Buy, picking up a slightly more expensive top end Logitech USB one (the USB dongle thing was so tiny on that I didn't mind it)....I couldn't find software either though (I was looking to see if that'd help my issues)....
