massive hardware failures,burned.
Hello,i have an n5110 (15r).Since i bought it the keyboard is bent and the build quality is below 'cheap'.The laptop gets very hot after few mins of use (83 degrees on the CPU,50 degrees C the outside).I have already burned my lap while using it.The second issue is it keeps powering off when running more CPU intensive tasks (like WoW).the laptop is not even 5 months old.WHen i called DELL they told me i stole the laptop and blocked my win 7 licence, and whenever i am calling them they say theres nothing they can do.Can anyone please help me or give me some advice (running ubuntu now as after installation of the original OS it refuses to boot into it) ?.thank you.

Just be sure you get a 3-year AppleCare warranty - the parts do fail, regularly - and Apple's part prices are significantly higher (think $800 for a mainboard, vs. $300 for a Dell, etc.).
If you think the hardware inside a Macbook is any different than what's inside a Dell - you will be unpleasantly surprised to find out that Macbooks are made by the same suppliers (Quanta, Compal, Wistron, Pegatron) that make Dell and others' notebooks.

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. First, where did you purchase this laptop? Did you purchase it online via the Dell Site or went to a retail store ( Bestbuy etc..)?
Send me a Private Message, by clicking on my user name, add me as a friend and send me the Order Number, Service Tag, Phone number, and from where did you purchase this computer.
Thank you

Hello, service tag is ,i bought it from DATART,a computer shop in Brno,CZ (shop is located in galerie vankovka on ground floor).I am not sure if that was DELL original retailer, but that a store located in a big shopping center sells stolen products is very hard to belive.I have the invoice from the shop,if its of any help.Is there anything i can do?or am i not entitled to support? i do not mind sending the laptop to the repair center, even tho i have next business day warranty.Thank you.

why didn't you bring it back to the shop if it came out of the box like that.....sounds like it has been dropped a few times

i have to agree. I will be the first to admit that dell's support can be a pain and not the best. but something else is going on here

all i can say is that if i bought a laptop from a shop that was messed up like that from the get go i would have brought it back to the shop and get it replaced that same day

hello.well it was almost impossible wwith my work schedule and i travel a lot.the laptop does not have any cosmetic damage, except the keyboard that looks bloated.looks more like a manufacturing issue here (same as the spongy keyboard certain lenovo thinkpads had).Another issue are a few dead pixels on the screen, but it's lower than 5 and im not sure if they are considered a problem acc. to DELL standards.Laptop overheating easyly, looks like a fan / cooling issue.the other thing is that i cant use anymore my original windows, the one i have paid for.Can Dell help me here?or is the vendor responsible here?thank you for your fast reply.

Your reseller would be the first point of contact.
If you haven't done so, you must register the system with Dell if you want Dell support:

i have been told to register when i first called, and i have already registered.now i get Registratie voltooid
Het lijkt erop dat u zich al hebt geregistreerd. U kunt de toepassing afsluiten door hieronder op de knop Sluiten te klikken. .and calling Dell i get same answer....only where i bought it from.So that was it for me.biggest mistake ever to buy a dell product.ill make sure that my friends and family NEVER buy dell or aanything under the brand.

You should then speak to the shop from which you purchased the system. Registrations aren't voided for no reason - there is another part of the story that's not being revealed here.

you should contact the place where you bought it at and see if they will replace it

sorry i don't have that info...but it almost sounds like you made a purchase from a bad retailer might just have to take this one on the chin and move on.....good luck
