Mini DisplayPort not working

I have an XPS 15 L502X. Recently, in a move, there was some superficial-looking damage to the case right below the Mini DisplayPort. I couldn't connect my adapter (wouldn't fit). After opening the computer and putting it back together again, I was able to connect the adapter, but now it seems my Mini DisplayPort isn't sending a signal out. I tried buying a new adapter just to see if it was the adapter failing, but the new adapter doesn't work, either. Is there some way for me to troubleshoot this issue, or is my MDP simply toast? If it is gone, is there a cheap way to replace it (i.e. not buying a new motherboard - I'm out of warantee), or a good alternative to connect a second monitor?

Thanks in advance!

Ian

Hi Ian,

XPS 502X has HDMI and Mini display port options and unfortunately no other video out options. Try swapping another monitor and check if it works.

You might try reaching Out of warranty support on 1-800-288-4410 (US Region). If you belong to a different region, please let me know.
