Mouse keeps sticking..
I'm having problems with my mouse... the pad keeps sticking and instead of scrolling my mouse pointer is highlighting everything or just moving objects around instead of selecting them and opening. I had to plug in a regular mouse to be able to use my laptop. Any suggestions? Does anyone know if this is a permanent problem? And if so, does anyone know if it would be covered under my warranty? (I think it's a rapid response or something like that.) Help!

Hi,
Of course is under warranty. Most likely the touchpad buttons are stuck and that is why you're not able to use it properly. The palmrest needs to be replaced for this problem. If your contract is still active, then call Dell and ask that problem to be repaired.
If it's already out of warranty then contact Dell so they can tell you the part number and phone number (spare parts and out of warranty) to setup service.
Sincerely,
