When watching netlix videos after a week, my Dell Inspiron 1318 audio stopped. I ran diagnositcs and got Error Code 2000-0333. What should I do? Mary in Indy
Do you mean audio has stopped from not just your dvd player but from your music player program(s) too?
I ran diagnositcs and got Error Code 2000-0333.
That is an error code from the pre-boot system assessment tests (PSA) that run before the Dell Diagnostics tests. That error code does not mean there is anything wrong with your audio. (That code means "Graphics test timed out waiting for keyboard response" which probably means you did not answer a question yes or no within the allotted time.) To test your audio you need to run the Dell Diagnostics audio tests because the PSA tests are not adequate for it.
If the tests pass then you have a software problem. If the tests fail then you should contact Dell for repairs.
Well, it is even crazier than that. What really has happened is that my fm transmitor has stopped. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the fm transmitor drivers and still have the same problem. But at least I can boot and watch from Netflix. thanks for your thoughts.
