New Dell studio 1737
Hello. I got my New Dell Studio 17 for my girlfriend today. We opend it turned it on , everything worked. But while we where surfing internett , suddenly the power adapter went off ( the blue light on the cord turned of ) and the machine was turned of ( since we only used power from cord , battery not inserted ). I plugged out the power adapter and back on again from the outlet in wall. And blue light came on. Turned the machine on. The fans lights and everything indicated everything was ok, but nothing on the monitor. It was black. Turned on off again , still nothing from monitor..
So i let the machine get into windows vista ( from welcome sound i knew it was opend ) and plugged a HDMI from my Samsung 42" plasma tv on it. And voila pc is on TV , I press Fn button and the F8 button to toggle between monitors. But nothing on the Laptops 17" monitor it self.. So it appears no power on the 17" attached monitor on the lapptopp.
Im so frustrated.. and started the pc up again 30 min later, and now i can barely see something .. Its like the White LED light behind screen is gone.. there is no use turning up or down brightness..
Anyone experienced similar problem. ??
Tried calling customer support , but just my luck they close 1 hour earlier on fridays, so must wait until monday... typical...

Don't call customer support, contact Technical Support instead. They are open all the time. You can use Chat if you are in US.

Just wanna inform that Technical support replied on my e-mail . And the backlight on my LCD is broken, so a techincan will come to our house and replace the monitor.
So now im just hoping the technican will come as fast as lightning strucks :)
