New Hard Drive

I recently had to replace the hard drive on my Dell xps 15z.  I have lost all my software and all the dell products that were installed are gone.  I went to "MY DOWNLOADS" and I get the error message "Missing Files" and can not download programs.  Also I had purchased Microsoft WORD and it is gone.  This is horrible.  Please help?

Thank  you!

Hi khoist,

You can follow the steps below to download the applications shipped with your computer:

Use only Internet explorer to download applications from ‘My Dell downloads’. You can follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Please follow the instructions and install the Active X controller as it is required for the My Dell Downloads to work.

In order to access My Dell Downloads account, you can follow the steps below:

  • Open an Internet explorer and browse on the link: http://bit.ly/XzvhLF
  • Please select your country
  • Click Continue.
  • Check box for terms and conditions of My Dell Downloads.

  • Click on Register system (it will take 5-10 seconds to analyze).
  • You will get an Active X prompt on the Internet explorer window.
  • Right click on the Active X prompt and ‘Download File’.
  • You will get a prompt to install an application ‘SysProExe’.

  • Install and allow the access to application.
  • On next webpage, you will see a list of applications.
  • Check box in front of the application that you want to download and click on Download.

  • Follow the prompts on screen to install application.

In case you have purchased Microsoft office 2010 with your computer, you can download it from the link:  http://bit.ly/VYQZaQ You would need product key for MS office to download the MS Office.

Please let me know the findings.
