New T9500 Processor

Question

I see that I can select the new T9500 processor on the M6300.  Will this work with XP and does the M6300 have a Intel EM64T-enabled BIOS?

yes it will work with xp but for best results you should install the MS patch for multi core processors.

Thanks.  Would this processor work better with Vista?  I haven't had any trouble wit XP, but wondering if it would be better to go ahead and have Vista installed.

the patch is over a year old so should come already installed but you'll need to check in your add|remove programs list to be sure.

Are you talking about the microcode update? I did that but still my X7900 shows as 1 core in XP. Any help available?
