Newbe question on wireless and bluetooth

Bluetooth is just another short-range wireless technology.  There are several catagories of bluetooth, but the most common gives a range of about 30 feet.     Besides bluetooth wireless mice can either use RF or IR technology (RF is becoming the most popular) also short range.  When you buy a wireless mouse it will probably come with both the mouse and the wireless reciever.  The Receiver is plugged into the computer (usually the usb socket).   Since you have a bluetooth reciever internal you more than likely would not have to use the external recieve that would come with the bluetooth mouse (provided you bluetooth reciever supports the keyboard/mouse periphal standard (probably does).   Pretty sure you can hav e multiple bluetooth devices connected at the same time (not sure the limits of how many). I haven't used bluetooth of rmice and keyboards yet, but believe most of the current short range standards should be sufficient for gaming.  If you use an ir or rf mouse you will have to connect the external reciever to the machine unless your machine supports that technology (but most RF/IR implemenations are manufacturer specific so you need to buy a compatable one to the receiver you have -- ie will more than likely be using an external reciever that comes with mouse)
