NIC CARD OFF

Hello,

I have a Latitude D630 notebook and its NIC card will not turn on. I have looked in the NIC configuration and it shows the card as off and have tried to set it to "leave on when not plugged into AC power", even though i have AC power connected. The bios has it as enabled, however when i go into the device manager it does not show that there is even a card installed. Would try to update drivers but since it is not picking up a card at all i am kind of stuck. I have another D630 laptop that i have now switched hard drives with and that hard drive can see and connect through the NIC card with any trouble. Could there be something software wise that is interfering with my NIC card? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Try checking your quick connect settings to see if the NIC is off if another network device is detected. Your device might be corrupted as well if its not being found on laptop but it is on another. The hardware is probably done.
