NIC Problems

Hey Guys,

 

I am running an Inspiron 8600 computer with Vista and I have the following problem when using the NIC. When i have connected the network cable into the port, Vista recognizes the connection for a second, and then drops it. I then have to physically jiggle the network cable or unplug and repug it a couple of times before I can get the NIC to work. I sometimes experience the same problem when I am docked. I am using t he most recent drivers so I dont thik the driers are the problem. Does this sound like a hardware problem (is it the mobo or the NC card itself?)  or a software problem?
