NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 2200 which has started to display the following message sometimes at startup and sometimes once Windows XP has loaded:
*** Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity check / Memory Parity Error
*** The system has halted ***
Does anyone know what the problem is and how to cure it?

Buenas tardes: Tuve el mismo mensaje en mi Inspiron 1720.El 08 de agosto me cambiaron la placa madre pero al arrancar daba el mismo mensaje . El 13 de agosto me cambiaron el microprocesador y la tarjeta gráfica Nvdia y funcionó . Tenia el portatil en garantia(comprado en marzo) .
La traduccion al ingles corre a cuenta suya . Suerte Saludos

Thanks for the response - unfortunately the only language I can read is English. Anyone help?
