No Sound
I have a Inspiron 6000 laptop and have always had sound. Now I have none and when I go to control panel and go to sound, I am told that I have "no audio device" and I cannot adjust the sound buttons. Any ideas on how to get sound back?
Thanks,

This will probably get moved to the Laptop General Hardware section by the forum moderators.
However, as a first step, use the System Restore and restore the PC back to a date when it did work (if this is fairly recent). System Restore can be accessed from Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools. System Restore will not delete any user data or e-mails, but any programs or updates installed (or uninstalled) after the restore date will have to be redone.

Hello. Please see The "No Audio" Symptom FAQ. One of the first things it mentions is System Restore like Fireberd said, then it goes into a detailed explanation of how to find the cause of the "no audio" symptom.
