No Wireless Connection without AC Power Connection

I disconnected my AC power for a couple of days, the E1506 was inactive. Today I turned on the computer, but it would not connect to my Linksys Wireless-G. I checked the battery and it showed at 98% with 3.5 hours of power left. I then plugged into AC power, and the Wireless connected at once. The battery also showed 100%. Question: Shouldn't the Wireless connect whether its on battery or AC?

Wireless should work on battery also. Try changing the power management options. It may be possible that you may have turned off the wireless, while using battery, to save battery power.

For the LCD brightness issue, restart the computer and press F2 key 2-3 times as soon as you restart. You should see a blue colored BIOS screen. Use the arrow keys to go to Video option. Then press Enter and adjust the brightness settings. Computer has two settings, one for battery and other while using AC Adapter. Press Esc to svae the settings.

I couldn't find anywhere to show if the wireless was turned off or not. I did change to Max. Battery Power, turned the computer off, and it found the wireless. I also noticed when unplugging the AC the screen got dimmer, then when plugging the AC back in the screen got brighter.
