Number Lock key
Can anyone tell me why when i depress the number lock key on the laptop it causes a loud sound. That also seems to be why a wireless numberic keypad i purchased doesn't work. when i turn the wireless keypad on it causes the laptop to emmit the loud sounds each time you depress the keys. I tried the new keypad on another identical laptop and it works fine. the other laptop also does NOT emmit the loud sound as mine does. I called tech support, they tried something but turned me over to another support agent who said i would have to pay to have the problem investigated further.

I never use the number lock key. I did accidentally bump it prior to trying to use the new keypad and it did make the loud sound. Also i'm not sure i have the newest device drivers installed. I would assume the technician the other day on the phone that tried to help would have made sure of that.
