P28F Hard Drive Failure
We have a Dell P28F that won't boot, did the diagnostic and came up with bad hard drive.
I removed the hard drive and connected it to a IDE or Serial ATA Drive Adapter Cable set and hooked it up to my workstation.
Drivers install but the disk makes a loud clicking sound and doesn't come up as a drive letter. I tested a couple of other similar drives and I can access their data fine.
I can buy a replacement drive on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Black-Notebook-WD7500BPKX/dp/B00DSUTX3O/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1437592511&sr=1-1&keywords=WD7500BPKX), but I'm not sure how to re-install windows 8 once I get the new hard drive.
Can someone help point me in the right direction for installing windows on a new hard disk drive for this laptop?

If you prepared a set of recovery media (flash drive or DVDs) when you received the system, as you were prompted to do -- you'll need that now.
If you did not, you will need to call Dell to purchase the recovery media now -- the cost is about $25 in the US.
