PC Slot on E1505

Question

I bought the Sprint Wireless Data Card that fits into the PC Slot. The card will not slide all the way in and make connection. I looked in the slot and there is a metal barrier that blocks aprroximately 1/2' of the opening at the slot receptacle.   Can someone advise as to what this is and how I can rectify this problem?

Thanks for the response, Mary. My Sprint Card is a PCMCIA Card. Is there an adapter available to convert PCMCIA to Express?

None at the moment, but there are a few PCMCIA to USB adapters.

I would get a refund from your Sprint store. The E1505 only has ExpressCard slot. Sprint PCS does not have an EVDO ExpressCard slot compatible modem as of yet. Your only solution would be to buy a Powervision phone capable of being used as an EVDO modem (such as the Samsung A920) or to wait, or buy a USB EVDO modem. It's not desirable but it's all there is at the moment. With the release of the Verizon Express Card... I think Sprint will followsuit soon.
