mmcfadin,

You can get all the drivers for your system that Dell has validated, at our File Library.

Click Here to go to the Dell File Library.

Just put in your service tag, select the Operating System you have and choose the driver(s) that you want.

If you are unable to find the driver(s) through Dell, you may need to go to the manufacturers website to see what they have available.

Thank you for choosing Dell.

I suspect that what you want is the modem driver!

there are not any drivers listed there for that device.

mmcfadin,

What Operating System are you currently running?

I believe the modem driver gets installed when you install the audio driver.

I'm running win2k, and right now I am using a network connection but trying to configure a wireless card on it.

I'm thinking that this "PCI" device is actually a bus driver.??

I too have this problem of finding the proper driver for the PCI Simple Communications device on an Inspiron 8100.

After wiping out the hard drive and using the Dell restore CD to put Windows 2000 back on the laptop, I now get a New Hardware found message telling me that if found the PCI Simple Communications device.  However I do not have the Resource CD, it may have been tossed out, or not received as it was a refurbished unit.  Now our Dell rep tells us we will need to re-purchase the OS to get this CD!

Help!  How can I get this driver?
